Power Load Testing
Test the power load using cpuburn and bonnie. A session of CPU burn was run for each core.
- Dell PowerEdge 1950
- Dual CPU Quad Core
- Tested using srv189
- Two 3.5 disks and DRAC
- Idle: 1.5A * 120C = 180W
- Full Load: 2.5A * 120V = 300W
- One 3.5 disk and DRAC (and really high power for no sane reason)
- Idle: 1.8A * 120V = 216W
- Full Load: 2.7A * 120V = 324W
- One 3.5 disk no DRAC
- Idle: 1.3A * 120V = 156W
- Full Load: 2.2A * 120V = 264W
- Two disks no DRAC
- Idle: 1.4A * 120V = 168W
- Full Load: not needed, just testing DRAC load difference.
- Dell PowerEdge 1950 with 4 2.5 HDD - single cpu dual core
- Tested using sq49 with partitions setup on all 4 drives
- Idle: 1.5A * 120V = 180W
- Full Load: 1.8A * 120V = 216W
- Sun Fire X4100
- Sun Fire X4150
- Tested using search7
- Dual HDD, dual quad core cpus
- Idle: 1.3A * 120V = 156W
- Full Load: 2.6A * 120V = 312W
- Dell PowerEdge 2950
- Dual CPU Dual Core
- Tested using db10
- Idle: 2.0A * 120V = 240W
- Full Load: 2.7A * 120V = 324W
- Sun Fire X4240
- Sun Fire X4500
