puppet is the main configuration management tool to be used on the Wikimedia clusters.

Puppetmaster

The puppetmaster server in pmtpa is sockpuppet.pmtpa.wmnet.

Installation

Simply use the (backported) puppetmaster Ubuntu package:

# apt-get install puppetmaster
